Finer Dining Supper Club: January

By day smallSUGAR is an all-day café serving farm-driven Carolina cuisine, coffee, and pastries. In the afternoons and evenings, the space sometimes serves as a venue for private dining by our sister company, 1649 Catering & Wholesale. On most days, it’s used as a workspace for the pilot for the CITY GRIT Workforce Development Program.

This program, designed to provide hands-on training and growth for Columbia’s non-college bound youth, offers life skills, hospitality, culinary, and service training to young adults in our community in need of an opportunity.

The Finer Dining supper club series gives the 1649 culinary team a chance to show off their more elegant culinary talents, while teaching the CITY GRIT Workforce Development program participants table service experience.

Join us for our inaugural dinner featuring chefs Aaron Hoskins and Sarah Simmons’ favorite dishes from 2018. As they begin to develop the 1649 private dining menu for 2019, they thought it would be fun to serve four of last year’s greatest hits!

When: Thursday, January 24th at 6:30pm

Price: $55 for a four-course meal // A selection of beverages will be available for purchase.

All CGHG concepts are Hospitality Included. We do not accept gratuity and strive to pay our staff a live-able wage which is reflected in our menu prices.
